Johan Krüger, Pr Techni Eng (ECSA) | EngTech AMInstNDT and Registered Lifting Machinery Inspector, will present the second part of the “Maritime and Offshore Lifting Appliances” lecture.
Where DMR 18 ends—and flag, SAMSA, SOLAS, Class and offshore requirements begin, focusing on SOLAS and Offshore implementation.
The presentation will develop participants’ professional competence by providing practical engineering knowledge relating to maritime and off shore lifting appliances, including equipment selection, inspection, examination, testing, maintenance, statutory compliance and operational safety which is used in both onshore and off shore environments. It will enable participants to better recognise engineering and operational risks associated with lifting equipment and apply / identify relevant standards, regulatory requirements and good engineering practice when managing or undertaking lifting activities in the Maritime sector.
