The SAIMENA Cape Branch had a great meeting on the 28th Aug with a presentation by Willem Nel of Ikapa Consortium NDT on the subject of “Defect Findings on 3D printed steel alloy parts for the marine industry”. It was well received by the good turnout, 23 attending and 4 online.
SAIMENA also handed over membership certificates to 3 new members (with more in the pipeline),
Simon Mokoena (Member), Richard Abbott on behalf of Seascape Marine Services (Pty) Ltd (Maritime Partner), and Abongile Sigigaba (Student Member).
