The maritime industry has 2 options: Prepare for the impact of IDoEW by finding out what it encompasses; or ignoring IDoEW and hope it goes away.
The presentation will address:
1. A short overview of the IDoEW Policy and Implementation. (by ECSA).
2. Highlighting the Identified scope of services for specific engineering work stated in the ECSA Policy. (by SAIMENA)
3. Discuss engineering services that has been possibly omitted from the Policy. (by SAIMENA)
4. Identify conflicts with other Regulatory Bodies (ie DoT and SAMSA in implementing the IMO Rules for Shipping via the Transport Act). (by SAIMENA)
